Café 100 Opens
At the start of this half-term the doors to Café 100 opened at Headlands School. Introduced as part of the school’s 100th birthday celebrations, Café 100 provides pupils with a safe and welcoming environment to enjoy a drink and a healthy snack at break times. As well as being open for pupils at break time, the café is open in the morning for staff members to grab a coffee and some breakfast.
Originally used as a storage space, Café 100 has gone through some huge changes over the last few months and is hard to recognise since its fantastic transformation.
Moving forward, pupils will have the opportunity to apply and interview for work positions in the café, which will allow them to gain valuable skills and experience linked to the world of work. They will also develop their communication skills through their interactions with customers as well as having the opportunity to gain qualifications linked to Food Hygiene and Health and Safety.
