Last week, a group of pupils and staff from Headland School travelled to London to watch the Premier League game Watford vs Manchester City. Leaving school at 9am, the group travelled in convoy up the M4 and arrived in Watford just after 1pm. After checking-in to our hotel, we got the tube into the centre of London where we took in the sights of Piccadilly Circus and Chinatown as well as visiting the Christmas Market at Leicester Square. After eating dinner, the group travelled back to Watford and onto Vicarage Road stadium, home of The Hornets. We had brilliant seats and managed to get really close to the players. The game was very exciting, finishing 2-1 to Manchester City. After the game, the pupils were able to see the Manchester City team bus and saw some of the heroes getting onboard. After staying overnight at our hotel, we all travelled back to Penarth. A fantastic time was had by all.
