Headlands School are in the process of building an innovative project to support pupils who find themselves in the situation whereby t
hey require a wrap around care model.
‘Noddfa’ is our provision for our 38 week residential pupils who have struggled to settle with foster care throughout the holiday periods.
Noddfa will identify carers who will be trained alongside our Headlands School staff in our behavioural model (Therapeutic Crisis Intervention) so that the pupils experience consistent support. The carers will provide care for the holiday periods only with scheduled contact throughout the term time to maintain relationships. They will be included in key meetings and they be provided with high levels of support for the carers during the holiday periods.
If you are interested in becoming a part time foster carer or if you are a commissioner who feel this option may be of interest to you, please contact the school 029 20709771 and request to speak to Ms Ceri Morgans.
