How will you make a difference?

We are looking for a someone to Project Manager a number of exciting building developments we have planned to expand our provision.  The appointed person will need to have experience of leading and managing projects within deadlines and budgets.  They will be a good communicator, acting as the liaison between Key Managers at Headlands School, Action for Children Health and Safety and Property Departments, Architects, Surveyors, Planners and Contractors.  They will be responsible for ensuring quality of works, that they have been completed within legislation.

What is the role?

Headlands School is a Special School in Penarth, Vale of Glamorgan, and looks after day and residential pupils between 7 and 19 with challenging behaviour. The school operates 6 kitchens, 4 of which are in the residential houses and 2 which cater for our day pupils, across the site.

What will you need?

  • Previous experience in project management in the building industry
  • Knowledge of current legislative requirements, including Health and Safety
  • A flexible approach with the ability to problem solve
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • Good IT skills
  • A willingness to undertake all required training including Child Protection
  • An understanding of the issues faced by our pupils and the willingness to help support them
