Romeo and Juliet

Over the past academic year, the Drama, Dance and Music group have been working on their production of Romeo and Juliet with a “funky” Headlands Twist. The GCSE Drama and Expressive Arts students have been studying the text in preparation for the exam and gaining extra credits by building a portfolio of evidence based on the performance. There are approximately 26 students involved in the making of the show. Yesterday (04/06/18), the Drama and Dance group performed two scenes from the show in front of visiting Children’s commissioners and they were blown away by the performer’s enthusiasm and confidence. Well Done to all involved.

The show will take place at The Paget Rooms Theatre in Penarth on the 5th July 2018. It will include live music, scenes from the original production and improvised scenes created by the students. This is one that’s not to be missed. For more information please speak to Elisha Allen-Cope.
