Stu Barter’s trek of Nepal….

Stu Barter, a Teaching Assistant with our Group B at Headlands School has recently returned from a challenging trek of the Helambu region, Nepal.

With altitudes almost reaching 3000 metres and night time temperatures below zero the trek was an exhausting experience for Stu and his fellow trekkers, ably led by comedian Rhod Gilbert.

Stu was completing the trek to raise funds for the Velindre cancer centre in Cardiff in memory of his late wife, Sue.

Speaking of the trek, Stu said “the infamous Nepalese flat (either up or down, never flat) was really hard going at times and was tough physically, mentally and emotionally but between us over £250,000 was raised for an amazing cause.  If you would like to sponsor me, please use the link below, every penny counts!”
