Exciting News!

After months of fundraising and planning, the ‘The Voice’ Headlands School Radio and Café 100 are near completion.

What started as a pipe dream gathered pace in the summer of last year, and after carrying out local fundraising and receiving grants from Action for Children, Dow Corning and The Gibbs Trust, building works commenced at the start of February.

The new facilities are situated in the stable blocks next door to Spokes Bicycle Repair Shop, and has seen a complete transformation from the old Caretaker’s offices into the new state of the art facilities.  Although not officially launched yet, pupils have received training in operating the radio from Russell Prue of Anderton Tiger Radio, and have started to use the station to record programmes.

Keep checking back for details of the launch.
