Contract/Hours: Permanent, Full-Time, Term Time (plus an additional 3 weeks to be worked during the school holiday)
Salary: £33,600 pro-rata

Headlands School is a residential special school based in Penarth, which caters for pupils between the ages of 7 and 19, who have an emotional, social and behavioural difficulties and a range of associated needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you will also supervise lunches, some breaks and accompany pupils on school trips and activities.

As a Learning Support Team Leader, you’ll be:
- Ensuring that the learning resources are fit for purpose
- Delivering inductions to all new Teaching Assistants
- Leading a team of TA’s by monitoring and improving team performance
- Support coordination of lessons and cover where necessary
- Act as the Health & Safety Manager for the education team
- Responsible for holding the Child Protection Officer role within the education team

- Relevant higher-level qualification within management or education, ideally both
- Demonstrable experience within a similar role and environment
- Proven track record of managing a high performing team
